Brady Underwood, Owner & Ecologist
Growing up in Southern Appalachia, Brady’s passion for natural resource management & species conservation began at an early age. In 2019, he earned his B.S. of Environmental Science & Biology with a focus in Natural Resources, Biodiversity, & Conservation from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Brady started out his career as a Wildland Firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service, he then worked for local government as a Soil & Water Conservationist and Environmental Specialist. Eventually, Brady’s career led him into manufacturing, working as an Environmental Manager & Engineer. During his career, Brady has earned proficiencies in Wildland Fire Ecology, Soil & Water Conservation, Ecological Restoration, Water Quality Management, and Environmental Compliance.
Luke Fryar, Owner & Land Manager
For over a decade Luke has worked as a Professional Builder & Carpenter in Northwest Georgia. A lifetime resident of the mountains, Luke has been an avid outdoorsman & conservationist since childhood. His passion for the outdoors is matched by his ability to build, implement, and manage resources. Throughout his life he has continually managed wildlife habitat through prescribed fire, seeding, selective thinning, and invasive species eradication. Luke is highly proficient in Native Habitat Restoration, Whitetail Deer Management, Habitat Improvement, Forest Stand Improvement, and Heavy Equipment Operations.
Dallas York, Taxonomist & Naturalist
From a young age, Dallas found a deep appreciation for the rich biodiversity of North Georgia’s Ridge and Valley ecosystems. His passion for environmental conservation led Dallas to pursue a career in Native Ecology & Taxonomy. In the beginning of his career, Dallas worked with the U.S. Forest Service surveying Georgia’s Native Plants and spent a season collecting Native seeds with the Southeastern Grasslands Institute. More recently, Dallas has worked as a Naturalist & Taxonomist with an Ecological Restoration & Native Landscaping firm while pursuing his B.S. of Environmental Science & Biology at Dalton State College. Throughout his career, Dallas has acquired an advanced ability of identifying Native Flora, Fauna, and Ecosystem Types. His proficiencies in Native Ecology have helped Dallas become one of the best Taxonomist & Naturalist in Northwest Georgia.
Matthew Rowlls, Wildfire & Forestry Specialist
Native to Northwest Georgia, Matthew’s love for Fire Ecology started with his career in the U.S. Forest Service. For more than ten years he lived and worked in the American West as a Wildland Firefighter & Forestry Technician. In 2010, Matthew earned his B.S. of Fire Science from Columbia University, furthering his knowledge and understanding of Wildland Fire. During his tenure with the Forest Service, Matthew earned several qualifications as a Type 1 Firefighter, leading to his proficiencies in Fire Suppression, Fire Ecology, Fire Behavior, Fire Safety, and Forest Stand Management. In more recent years, Matthew has worked as a Veteran Sawyer & Safety Specialist for a local Arborist firm, overseeing the training and development program for those new to the field.
